Katharine Stanley-Brown Abbott is the author of six children's books, including Henrietta, the Loveable Woodchuck series. She has also written a memoir, co-written three cookbooks as well as a commemorative books for a women's social club.
She considers herself a generalist. Her eclectic interests include needlepoint, knitting, cooking, travel, reading, tennis, and life-long volunteerism. She is also an accomplished collage artist whose work has been exhibited and sold in juried shows, art festivals, and open studios.
She is a graduate of Vassar College and the mother of four adult children. She has five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She is a widowed resident of Manchester, Massachusetts.
