Author Katharine Stanley-Brown Abbott, a life long Nantucket summer resident lives in Manchester, Massachusetts. A graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Child Study, she is a freelance writer and editor of newpapers, magazines, cookbooks and family memoirs including Nantucket Summers. An accomplished artist, she has four children and five grandchildren, all of whom love the island.
A native of Indiana, artist Bobbi Ann McPeak is a graduate of DePauw University where she recieved a degree in English Composition. With careers in both public relations and teaching. McPeak wrote her first children's book in 1982, The Christmas Tree that Cried. Other books include Emma's Happy Birthday Piano; Sweet Dreams-- a Garden Lull
